The Waiting is the Hardest Part

As writers, we do a lot of waiting! We painstakingly submit our novels, and we wait. And we wait. And we despair. And we wait some more. Then we pray. And we pray again. Then we yell. Then, finally, we begin another project, with all its joy and promise, which helps us wait.

I have definitely learned patience through this process. My spazzy nature had to be toned down. This frustration has caused me to become more mature, and trusting. Everything happens in God’s time, and His time may not be remotely connected to ours, but He knows best. This is good to know, and helps.

For all you writers out there, I feel you! Hang in there; success is coming!
